Complexity within Simplicity
“Honestly, children's books are the most impressionable books if you think about it.
My favorite is The Day the Crayons Quit because I think that the idea is quite interesting and does a really good job with complexity within simplicity which is pretty important in children’s books. It talks and teaches a complex idea through a simply story. It teaches readers on communication and expressing thoughts through the story of a young boy and a box of crayons.
I read this book like ten years ago, but I remember I liked the idea of crayons having thoughts. I remember I found it interesting that there are different perspectives in life. I don’t remember quite well, but it influenced my way of thinking back then and I started to look at objects differently, as if they had thoughts and ideas as well.”
